Regular Eye Exams

20/20 vision is not the only measure of a healthy eye. As part of the comprehensive eye examination you'll receive at Vespa Vision Centre, an eye health assessment to ensure there are no sight threatening conditions is equally important. Ruling out conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and many others is necessary in order to ensure your vision stays at 20/20. Even conditions that do not affect your vision directly can be detected by close examination of the eyes. These include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, liver complications, cancer, thyroid issues, autoimmune conditions, multiple sclerosis, and even muscle disorders.

To ensure that you are not at risk for any of these changes to your vision, it is important to have a comprehensive eye examination at least every 2 years. We recommend that all patients under 20 and over 65 have their examinations yearly, which is covered through OHIP. Has it been a while since you've had your eyes checked? Make sure to call or book an appointment online today!
